Just A Little About Us.

A lot goes into running a business.  An awful lot goes into running a business with your mother and brother-no, the little pooch is not my brother; that's Delilah and she is at Gold Assay, Inc more times than not.  My mother and I moved here from the western part of the state about two years ago when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Gold Assay, Inc is her brain child and Nate (my brother) and I are her worker bees.  My mother is my hero and Nate is, too, for that matter.  He is the most stable, kind and smart person I know, but no being is more precious than Delilah.  She doesn't warm up well to people, so be careful with those fingers until she gets used to you; I don't think she has a clue how much she looks like a football or how easily she can be punted.  I acquired Delilah from my daughter, Megan, who got her for her 10th birthday.  Megan is 14 now, so...do I really need to explain that?  Okay, for the people out there who don't have teenagers, they tend to forget that their pets still need to be walked, fed and bathed regularly once they gain an active social life.  


In case you're wondering-yes, this is a business blog, but I read a ton of boring business blogs every day.  I'm sure, in the future, I'll bore you enough with things like what Assay actually means and why we've used it in our business name, or what exactly a troy ounce is, but I'm going to do it as if you're an actual person reading this and not someone who has been in this business for years.  The purpose of this blog is for you to get to know us.  And that is, simply, that.
